At least one person has been reportedly killed as different support groups clash on Monday 7th November, 2022 at IBB Square Makurdi, venue of the Benue Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 flag-off.
An eyewitness disclosed that the fight started after a heated argument about space in a canopy.
“It all started like a joke after the boys started arguing about where to sit. They were were just dragging initially until they all started hitting themselves with chairs and woods.
“The next thing, one of them dropped in the ground with a deep cut in the face a little above his nose. He was rushed to the hospital but allegedly pronounced death according to some security operatives that came to restore sanity. Several others sustained numerous degree of injuries.” He said
