10 things you need to know about Nigeria Customs 2025 recruitment

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced its highly anticipated recruitment exercise for 2025, offering eligible Nigerians the opportunity to join its ranks and contribute to national development.

1. Recruitment Period

   • Applications began on December 27, 2024, and will close on January 2, 2025.

2. Application Portal

   • All applications must be submitted online through the official portal: https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng.

3. No Fees Required

   • The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has emphasized that the recruitment process is free of charge. Report anyone demanding payment.

4. Eligibility Criteria

   • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN), and have no criminal record or ongoing investigations.

5. Medical Fitness

   • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit, with proof of medical fitness from a recognized government hospital.

6. Educational Qualifications

   • The recruitment exercise is open to three cadres, each with specific educational requirements:
     • Superintendent Cadre: University degree or HND with NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
     • Inspectorate Cadre: ND or NCE from an accredited institution.
     • Customs Assistant Cadre: Minimum of O’Level certificate (WAEC or NECO).

7. Recruitment Goal

   • The NCS plans to recruit 3,927 officers in 2025 to enhance trade facilitation and support Nigeria’s economic recovery.
