10-year-old boy found dead after kidnappers receive N150,000

A 10-year-old boy, Tasi’u Abdullahi, was tragically murdered by his kidnappers in the Rikkos community, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Abdullahi was abducted on Monday, December 16, in front of his family’s home by unknown individuals who lured him away.

Despite his parents paying a portion of the ransom demand, a sum of N150,000, the boy’s lifeless body was found in a sack near the family home on Friday.

His uncle, Aliyu Muhammad, confirmed the heartbreaking news and explained that the kidnappers initially demanded N1 million, later reducing it to N300,000 after negotiations. The family paid N150,000 through a bank transfer, as instructed by the kidnappers.

The next day, the family received a call from a woman who informed them that the boy had been killed and left near their house. Upon inspecting the body, they discovered that Abdullahi had been strangled, with blood coming from his nose and mouth.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime.
