10 years of abandonment: Oche moves to rehabilitate dilapidated old Ado council secretariat
Council Caretaker Chairman for Ado Local Government of Benue State, James Oche has perfected arrangements for the renovation of the old Local Government Council Secretariat in Igumale. This is in line with his infrastructure development efforts and with the view of expanding office accommodation for staff of the council.
The old Secretariat which had been abandoned since 2009 never received attention from subsequent administrations of the local government. However, it will now be renovated and put to proper use by the James Oche led administration. A visit to the facility revealed it had since been overtaken by grass, reptiles and rodents.
This positive development has received a nod from the people who are very appreciative of Oche’s etforts to repositioning the local government for good.
James Oche has similarly expressed his readiness to painstakingly continue to better the infrastructural fortunes of Ado so long as he is chairman and has urged well meaning Adolites to accept his hand of fellowship in moving the local government forward.
It is on record that, since becoming chairman, Oche has made commendable efforts in infrastructure development through Secretariat renovation, road rehabilitation among others and this no doubt is in furtherance of the same objective.
