As we step into the 21^st year of the 21^st century, IDOMA VOICE takes a look at some young Idoma entertainers to watch in 2021.

 

ABRAHAM AKATU

He’s currently the darling of the gospel music genre. His hit song, Ogbenjuwa is currently an anthem in many churches across the globe. Abraham Akatu is surely the next gospel music minister to blow.

DYNAMIC TWINS

Following the split of Paul and Peter of the defunct P-Square fame, Nigerians are once again enjoying other twins’ music group.

Fast rising gospel/inspirational duo, Dynamic Twins, made a grand entry into the music industry with a super Jam titled, “FBI“, an abbreviation for “Full Blooded Idoma” in 2019.

Right from 2018, Peter and Emmanuel Obaje (Dynamic Twins) have been touring different parts of Nigeria and Africa, taking their soul lifting inspirational tunes to the world.

MEDDY IMANOEL OLOTU

He prides himself as Oyaje no weje (son of the soil who is a lion). Idoma version of Phyno, Meddy Olotu is never tired of thrilling his fans with what he know how to do best.

Towards the tail end of 2020, he dropped his seven-tracker album entitled Oyaje from the stables of Ageless Music.

FAITH OMALE

Beauty, brain and boldness: these are the three qualities that should adore a true Slay Queen.

Faith Agbenu Omale wears these royal togas. She does not only slay on social media pages but in her chosen career, she is best at what she does.

She’s an actress, a scriptwriter, movie producer and above all, an aspiring lawyer.

Albeit, her name may not ring a bell at the moment, but this thespian from Apa LGA of Benue State is sure one of the biggest things that would happen to the nation’s motion pictures industry, globally known as Nollywood in the this year.

 

XBIZZY

Orokam-born Benue talented and fast-rising crooner, Excellent Ejeh, famously known as Xbizzy, is another entertainer to watch in 2021.

Just last month, the effervescent artiste shared same stage with other A-list singers such as HKN, David Adeleke, otherwise known as Davido, Mayorkun, Teni, Zlatan at Ochacho Carnival held in Otukpo, Benue State.

He is a graduate of Mass Communication, from Benue State University and signed on to iProSound Entertainment.

MC OTAPIAPIA

Have you come across any comedy skit with the chant, Wo wow wo wo? That is him. MC Otapiapia, also known as Idoma Comic Ambassador is talented and gradually taking over the comedy industry with his creative skits.

The young entertainer who works with Gotel Communications, Yola is another entertainer to keep a tab on.

Before crossing into the music industry, Steve Abraham Ekwuma, otherwise known as Anebi made name in the Idoma movie industry. He came into limelight when he played the role of Anebi in Godwins’ Ochola’s Eflefu alongside Ojon Dan (Edoka) many years back.

At the moment, he has found a new passion in the music industry where he is now plying his trade with Benue Boy. Together, they have a couple of singles and videos.

Monica Ogah

She tagged a comeback in 2020. MTN Project Season 4 winner, Monica Eneh Ogah dropped a couple of awe inspiring songs in 2020.

MEG ATANWA

 

Nicknamed The Chameleon, Meg Otanwa is fearless, versatile and talented.

She is known for pushing boundaries with her amazing gift.

 

She broke into the klieglight in 2011 in the highly acclaimed movie I’ll Take My Chances alongside Ini Edo and Bryan Okwara,

Ever since, the Idoma-born budding actress has continued to experience astronomical rise in her career, starring in many chartbusting flicks and series such as October 1, Atlanta as well as Hush and thriller Derailed.

ATERRE

Owukpa-born music produce and singer, Ben Adoyi is another entertainer from Idoma land to watch.

Soft spoken and intelligent, the youngster has a lot of hot songs to his credit. He has also mixed and mastered song for so many A-list artistes in Nigeria.
