14 countries qualify for 2023 WWC round of 16 (FULL LIST)

At least 14 countries have successfully secured their places in the highly anticipated Round of 16. Wednesday’s gripping group stage fixtures saw South Africa triumph over Italy with a thrilling 3-2 victory, while France delivered an impressive 6-3 win against Panama to firmly secure their spots in the next stage.

Jamaica played a determined match against Brazil, resulting in a 0-0 draw, which earned them qualification to the Round of 16 alongside Sweden, who achieved a resounding 2-0 win against Argentina. With this victory, Sweden triumphantly topped Group G with nine points from three games, while Jamaica’s stellar performance earned them second place in Group F, ahead of Brazil.

Among the countries that have already booked their spots in the Round of 16 are Nigeria, England, Denmark, Netherlands, United States, Japan, and Spain. These football powerhouses have displayed remarkable prowess on the field, earning them well-deserved qualifications for the knockout stages.

Additionally, the nations of Australia, Norway, and Switzerland have also successfully secured their places in the next phase of the competition, further showcasing their talent and determination in the tournament.
