19-year-old stabs man to death after heated argument in Lagos

A 19-year-old woman, Fatimo Agboke, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing a 20-year-old man, Faruk Azeez.

Police spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest to NAN on Wednesday in Lagos.

The incident occurred on Monday, September 9, around 9:20 p.m. in the Ijegun area of the state.

Hundeyin explained that the arrest followed a complaint by the victim’s father at the Isheri-Osun Division.

“Agboke and Azeez were involved in an argument that escalated into a fight.“

“During the altercation, Agboke allegedly stabbed Azeez with a broken bottle on his neck, inflicting serious injuries.“

“Despite efforts to get Azeez to the hospital, he died from his injuries,“ the spokesperson said.

“Detectives who visited the scene found Azeez’s lifeless body on the ground, covered in blood with severe neck wounds.“
