A 20-year-old man identified as Gaddafi Sagir has been apprehended by the Kano State Police Command for killing his pregnant stepmother, Rabi’atu Sagir,25, and her daughter, Munawwara Sagir.
The incident ensued on Saturday, January 7, 2023, in Ungogo Local Government Area, at Fadama, Rijiyar Zaki Quarters, in Kano State.
The information available indicates that, when the father of the suspect Mr. Sagir Yakubu got home around 2330hrs on Saturday, 7 January, he met his wife in the pool of blood and daughter was dead.
While investigating the suspect, he said he singlehandedly held a screwdriver and stabbed Rabi’atu to death on her neck and forehead and choked her 8-year-old daughter with her head tie till her last breath.
An investigation is going to unravel the reasons behind his evil acts.
