Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has rejected speculations that he and his coaching staff would fake an injury to Onazi Ogenyi, so he can be left out of the team.
This comes amid rumours that Onazi was involved in a fight with captain of the team, Mikel Obi.
“Not true,” he told KweséESPN, when asked if his coaching staff had faked an injury to Onazi.
“That is wrong and bad information about the team.
“We never pretend an injury when we make our team.”
The Eagles have arrived in Russia ahead of the 2018 World Cup and will resume training on Tuesday, ahead of their opening fixture against Croatia on Saturday.
