2019: Akume, others defect to PDP in Benue (Photos)

A group of All Progressive Congress (APC) members led by one Anthony Ebunnu AKA Akume and a host of other supporters of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has Sunday February 10th, 2018 defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogobia in Ugboju, Otukpo local government area of Benue State.

The defection occurred during the visit of the Hon. Egli Johnson Ahubi campaign Organization In the area.

Akume who led other APC members to the PDP said that all their efforts to make a better government through the APC proof abortive as bigwigs in the party won’t ever allow transparency which brought about nothing but death, hunger, crisis and other negative things upon the people.

“We thought PDP was bad but later realized that it was and have been far better than the APC no matter what, we have tasted both parties and found out which one is suitable for the people, PDP is the light, APC signifies darkness.” He said.

Speaking on behalf of the APGA defectors, Mr Agbo commend Hon. Egli Ahubi for fixing the transformers in the community as he apologized for not supporting him before now adding that the APGA is a party of bitterness introduced in the area out of the hate for his candidature under the PDP.

The defectors were received by Hon. SJ Audu who is the general cordinator for all PDP candidates ahead of the coming polls.
