2019 Elections: How Sen. Dino Melaye defeated Smart Adeyemi in Kogi West

Senator Dino Melaye has emerged winner in Saturday’s National Assembly election for Kogi West Senatorial District Conducted in the State.

The Senator who is flying the flag of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) defeated his close rival Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

He polled a total of 85, 395 votes to defeat his APC opponent who scored 66, 902 votes.

Kogi West Senatorial District which comprises of seven LGAs namely Lokoja, Kogi/Koton Karfe, Kabba/Bunu
Ijumu, Yagba East, Yagba West saw Dino winning 6 LGA’s out of 7.

Below are final result as announced by INEC at the commission Collation centre in Lokoja on Sunday night.
