The Benue state All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Emmanuel Jime has allegedly reacted to the issue of godfatherism in Benue politics.
Rt. Hon Jime in a statement reportedly said “godfatherism is not the problem. Dont we have Tinubu as godfather in Lagos? Is Lagos today not rated as the best state in the federation?
“If you are well trained, prepare yourself for leadership, and equally well equipped, even the godfather will know that he has a godson to deal with. It is not really the issue of godfather that is the problem. It is the capacity of the godson. An elected person without capacity will fail even if there is no godfather”. He added.
