2019: I’m not supporting Buhari, Why is APC afraid of me – Gov. Dankwanmbo

Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State has on Saturday June 9th, 2018 debunked the news making the rounds that he is campaigning for President Mohamadu Buhari’s re-election according to the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The APC earlier posted a video of the Governor urging the people of Gombe to support President Buhari with the caption

“[OPPOSITION CAMPAIGNS FOR BUHARI]

Governor of Gombe state and PDP Chieftain, Ibrahim Dankwambo is seen in the footage below addressing his supporters and encouraging them to support @NGRPresident @MBuhari”

Governor Dankwanmbo who refuted the claims by the APC says it was his 2015 democracy day speech, where he urged his people to support President Buhari after his victory in the 2015 presidential election and not freshly asking anybody to support Buhari.

The Governor re-posted the video with the caption

“This video is making the rounds that I called on my supporters to vote for President Buhari’s re-election. This video was my Democracy Day 2015 speech where I asked the people of Gombe to support the then newly elected President.

Why are they afraid of Dankwambo?” He asked.
