2019: Why Benue people will vote for Buhari – Guber aspirant, Okpokwu Ogenyi

Okpokwu Ogenyi, the governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has asserted that electorates in Benue State will overwhelmingly vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

Youthful Ogenyi, who is on the verge of becoming the first Idoma governor after four decades, hinged his reason on the fact that those behind the problems of Benue the state have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.

The Ado-born human rights activist and analyst noted that political leaders who have refused to pay workers their wages have decamped to the PDP and the issue would be addressed as soon as he takes over the mantle of leadership in 2019.

Ogenyi was reacting to the mass exodus that swept through the APC on Tuesday at the national assembly, leading to the defection of over 70 lawmakers to different parties at the green and red chambers, including his rep member, Hassan Anthony Saleh of Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo Federal constituency.

He voiced his conviction via a Facebook post thus, “Defection: Buhari’s winning vote intact. In Benue: APC will win all elections as salary palaver has moved to PDP
The evil crashing my Party APC has been chase out through prayers. In a moment, Benue PDP shall be crushed.”
