Morocco got their campaign at this year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations off to a positive start after edging debutants Burkina Faso 1-0 in the opening game of the tournament on Saturday.
Chebbak Ghizlane was the hero for Morocco in the Group A opener, after scoring the only goal of the game in the 29th minute.
Three games are lined up for tomorrow as Senegal will face Uganda in Group A while in Group B, Cameroon battle Zambia and Tunisia tackle Togo.
And on Monday, defending champions Super Falcons will take on Banyana Banyana of South Africa and Botswana and Burundi will square off in Group C.
This year’s edition will run from July 2nd to 23rd in Rabat and Casablanca.
