2023–24 NNL season to kick off September

The stage is set for the kickoff of the highly awaited 2023-24 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, a development confirmed by recent reports from DAILY POST.

Chairman of the NNL, George Aluo, provided insights into this thrilling update during a conversation with the press amidst the backdrop of the relegation playoffs in the vibrant city of Kano.

As the countdown to the inaugural whistle continues, league stakeholders are poised to convene later in the month to deliberate upon the league’s formatrelegated. This crucial decision will define the landscape of competition, adding an extra layer of intrigue to an already intense season.

The preceding season, 2022-23 NNL, witnessed an abridged league format, culminating in a riveting Championship playoff where Heartland emerged victorious and clinched the title.

Amidst the camaraderie and sportsmanship at the Mahaha Sports Complex, George Aluo extended congratulations to the resilient teams that managed to secure their spot in the NNL for the upcoming season. At the same time, he bid farewell to the  teams with well wishes for their future endeavors on the footballing stage.
