Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has vowed not to talk ill of the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Fayose, who thinks that President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor should come from the South, maintained that despite party differences, he holds Tinubu in high regard.
Speaking during a Channels TV program on Thursday, Fayose lamented how some Southerners fight over political power while their northern counterpart work with unity.
He said, “If people are expecting me to abuse Tinubu to show that I am not supporting him, I will not do that.
“Even with the low level of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, I have not seen one single northerner that have come out to insult of attack the president one day.
“I have not seen a northerner that have come out to insult Atiku but here, to achieve our goals, I must come out to insult Tinubu, I will not do that”.
