Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has charged aspirants for various elective positions to put the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP above every other interest.
Governor Ortom gave the charge Sunday, March 3rd, 2022 at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue Peoples House Makurdi while presiding over the meetings on zoning in various local government areas.
He stated that if the PDP wins, both at the state and national levels, there will be enough placement of party members, stressing that it then behoves on everyone to work for the victory of the party in the general elections.
The Governor directed that where consensus was not reached, aspirants should be prepared to go into the primaries and test their popularity in the field.
Governor Ortom was flanked in the meeting by the state Deputy Governor, Engineer Benson Abounu, Senators Abba Moro and Orker Jev, Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Titus Uba among other stakeholders.
