2023 presidency: Buhari’s minister hailed for promoting Peter Obi

A socio-political activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju has praised Festus Keyamo, serving junior Minister for Labour and Employment, for promoting the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Keyamo had during an interview with Channels TV said Peter Obi was far a better candidate than his Peoples Democratic counterpart, Atiku Abubakar.

Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria had said, “The major rival we have today has never held an executive position where he makes the final call in government. So, we cannot second guess—Atiku Abubakar has never held an executive position where he made the final call; he was the vice president, he was not the chief executive, he was never governor, he was never anything. Even Peter Obi is ahead of Atiku Abubakar,” he said.

Reacting, Adeyanju said Keyamo was smart for promoting Obi over Atiku because Obi stands no chance in the 2023 presidential election.

He tweeted, “It is a smart political move for Keyamo to promote Peter Obi. Saying Obi is more qualified than Atiku for governance is just brilliant. The APC benefits the most with a divided opposition. Welldone SAN! If I was in their shoes, will even fund Obi & Kwankwaso.”
