2023 presidency: Tinubu under fire, booed for declaring himself a youth

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  Bola Tinubu, got more than he bargained from during the weekend when he declared himself a youth.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that APC leader had since declared his interest to succeed Muhammadu Buhari as president in 2023.

His ambition has since been greeted with utter rejection among Nigerians, especially the youths.

Many are of the opinion that the former Lagos State Governor should go and rest because age was no longer on his side.

However, Jagaban, as the former lawmaker is fondly called, asked the youth to wait until he’s done ruling Nigeria.

This, however, did not go down well with many young Nigerians, who insisted he’s not fit to lead the most populous black nation on earth.

Tinubu, while addressing some APC members and his supporters over the weekend, turned that the concerns in many quarters over his health, declaring that he is now a youth.

In the now viral video, the APC leader was seen shaking while addressing his supporters.

“I’m here standing before you and I’m a youth.”

His comment was, however, greeted by loud jeers from the angry crowd, who echoed “National youth leader”, “youth leader” et al.
