2023: Pro Buhari group declares support for Atiku, begs ex-VP to contest

A group that wholeheartedly supported presidential bid of President Muhammadu Buhari has regretted ever working for the victory of the ruling APC.

The group has decried the poor performance of the current Nigerian leadership and has declared loyalty to the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

Coming under umbrella of National Youth Congress for Atiku 2023, leader of the group, Yusuf Shehu Allah Gaba aka Abu Ashraf, who led members of the organization on a courtesy call to the Special Assistant; Youth and Support Group to the former Vice President, Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas, expressed regrets that contrary to expectations, the Buhari administration has proven to be lacking in competence and tact to manage the Nigerian nation and its diversity.

The NYCA2023 is a sociopolitical group with presence in all states of the federation, including FCT and has been deploying time, human and financial resources since 2015 for the political advantage of President Buhari.

Speaking on the mission of the group, Gaba said the visit became necessary to identify with the disappointment of the Nigerian masses in Buhari and also to show loyalty to the Atiku cause regardless of the fact this is not a political season.

The group expressed sadness with the abysmal state of the nation under the All Progressives Congress and its president and passionately appealed to the Wazirin Adamawa, Alh. Atiku Abubakar to consider the appeal from many quarters across Nigeria to contest the 2023 presidential election.

“We have all learnt our lessons. If anyone had predicted that the nation would be this worse under Buhari, we would not have agreed. Seeing the climax of his wits and capacity, especially the growing calls for the disintegration of our dear nation, no one needs to know that all these point at the bad management of our diversity and prosperity of our nation.

“Even God will not forgive us if we see the wrong and paint it right. This is why we are appealing to the Wazirin Adamawa, in the interest of the crying Nigerians to bail us out of this directionless and rudderless leadership in 2023 by contesting to replace this government”, he said.

Should Atiku heed the call, the NYCA2023 pledged to spend its resources to the last in ensuring victory of the former Vice President at the polls.

Thanking his guests, Amb. Abbas thanked the organization for the courage and heart of humility and patriotism to come out to admit to the error of its past decisions.

He said since the political space is not yet unveiled, it would be difficult to situate future political decision of Wazirin Adamawa; assuring that whatever happens, the ex-VP would not relent in being the vanguard for the voiceless and a voice to add values to good governance.

Highlights of the visit is the presentation of the items ranging from finance, exercise books; video and musical materials in support of the Atiku’s project.
