Apex socio-political organization in South-East, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has said the fear of Peter Obi is fueling Muslim-Muslim tickets by the PDP and APC
Newsonline reports that Ohanaeze Ndigbo stated that the massive followership of Peter Obi is sending confusion to the ruling APC and opposition PDP.
Ohanaeze said it was becoming clear that Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi’s popularity has become a headache and confusion for the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressive Congress.
In a statement, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, said it has become public knowledge that Peter Obi is coasting to victory which has put the ruling APC and opposition PDP to contemplate Muslim-Muslim ticket in a country of multi-ethnicity and religion like Nigeria.
“Ohanaeze worldwide has disclosed that both APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar are nervous and worried about the popularity of the Labour Party Presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi, who is seen as a unifying candidate for Nigerians.
“There are headaches in the camps of Tinubu and Atiku, as the implications of APC’s Muslim -Muslim tickets will be a regrettable doom, and PDP’s search for a South/South VP will be a catastrophic failure because only a southeast VP will bring fortune to PDP possibly a southeast serving Governor.
Mazi Isiguzoro said the injustice of the ruling All Progressive Congress and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party against the people of South-East was responsible for the confusion in their choice of Vice presidential candidates.
