The General Overseer of Dunamis Gospel Church Int’l, Pastor Dr. Paul Enenche has expressed his support for the mission behind BRM. He declared his support on Monday 12th October, 2020 at the headquarters of the Church (Glory Dome), FCT, Abuja.
The Pastor made his position known when the National Coordinator of BRM, Air Vice Marshall Monday Morgan Rtd. led a delegation of BRM members to intimate him of the mission and purpose of BRM. The NC intimated him that it is to negotiate for the Seat of Benue State Governorship as been rotated between Zones A and B senatorial districts which are the Tiv Majority ethnic groups of the State since the inception of this 4th democratic republic in 1999, to include Zone C (the Idoma ethnic group) come 2023. This is aside the fact that since the creation of the State from Old Benue-Plateau in 1976-44 years past, no Candidate from the Zone C Senatorial district (Idoma extraction) of the State has been Governor, inspite of the capable human resources that could drive the state to an enviable height of governance, development, unity and tranquility!
The Clergyman admonished that it is long overdue for the people of Benue South to be Governor. He opined that the excellence attached to the Benue South people (Zone C) if properly harnessed without the “Pull Down Syndrome-PDS” exhibited in the state without exception, Benue could have reached its pinnacle!
Pastor Paul maintained that every tribe is a nation in Europe and America’s democracy citing that democracy itself ought to display at all times the fairness, cognizance and power sharing formula for all inclusive governance which entails minority stakes, therefore Benue could not be an exception! He eulogized the leadership of the NC, AVM Monday Morgan Rtd., and promised to participate fully in all the activities penned down by the BRM.
On the proposed National Summit for Unity of Zone C people, Pastor Enenche said, he shall be there to pray for them and address them on the factor of unity as a means of achieving this goal, rather than the usual self serving interests that never worked overtime.
The NC, General Morgan Rtd. informed him about the resolve by the Idoma Rtd. Generals to give a facelift to the dilapidated Federal Road, precisely from the Otukpo Round about to the Ella Market Federal Road junction which is now an eyesaw and very unmotorable; the Pastor promised to mobilize his group of Engineers and Earth Moving Equipment-EME to the site when it commences. Though, the Idoma Generals has resolved to take the matter of the dilapidated state of all Benue Federal Roads to the Ministry of Works and Housing and the Presidency; while that is been awaited as one proposed antecedents, the concerned Generals and Idoma Sons and Daughters are contributing to begin reconstruction on the Otukpo Round about and the critical areas of the road which has killed many, damaged vehicles and halted the movement of agricultural produces from one point to the other.
Amongst the delegation led by the National Coordinator of BRM, AVM Monday Morgan Rtd. are his Counterpart, Air Vice Marshall Tony Adokwu Rtd. who is a member of the Planning Management Committee; Comrade Kelvin Odatse Peters-Deputy Director, Strategic Planning and Risk Management; Comrade Daniel Atayi-Director of Youths/Students; Comrade John Acha-Head of New Media and Secretary of Youth/Students Directorate, and a Think Tank Member of the Project Management Committee-Abah Odaudu.
