2023 WWC: BBNaija star, Tacha loses N500,000 bet on Super Falcons

Nigerian TV reality star Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, found herself on an emotional rollercoaster as she placed a hefty N500,000 bet on the Super Falcons to triumph in the round of 16 against England.

With her confidence in the Nigerian team soaring, Tacha took to her Twitter handle before the game to announce her bold wager and rally her support for the Falcons. She tweeted, “I’m about to bet 500k on ya heads Ohh!! So abeeg!! Bring it home #ENGNGA #FIFAWWC #ENG #NGA.”

The match was a gripping affair, with both teams giving it their all on the field. The Super Falcons showed immense determination and resilience, pushing the mighty Three Lionesses to the limit. However, as the final whistle blew, the scoreline remained deadlocked, and the game headed to a nail-biting penalty shootout.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, luck seemed to favor England as they emerged victorious, securing a 4-2 win on penalties. Tacha’s excitement quickly turned into disappointment as she realized that her bet had not paid off.

In the aftermath of the intense clash, the BBNaija star couldn’t hide her emotions. She expressed her dismay with a poignant tweet, simply writing “Jesus,” accompanied by a sad emoji.

Despite the loss of her bet, Tacha’s unwavering support for the Super Falcons remains intact. She has proven herself to be a dedicated fan, standing by her team through thick and thin.
