Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has announced the creation of an online registration platform for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, aimed at improving transparency and operational efficiency in Hajj management.
IDOMA VOICE reports that the decision was revealed in a statement by Aderibigbe Rasheed, the Commissioner for Home Affairs, who confirmed that the online system will cater to both the Muslim and Christian Pilgrims Boards.
Rasheed noted that Governor Adeleke’s initiative is driven by a commitment to enhance accountability and reduce direct contact during the registration process, ensuring that individuals and groups receive value for their expenditures.
He stated, “The governor is dedicated to ensuring accountability and transparency in government dealings, and he aims to guarantee that individuals or groups get value for their money spent. This approach will minimize personal contact during the registration of intending pilgrims.”
As part of this development, the Osun State government encourages members of the public interested in the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage to apply through the following platforms: Muslims can register at muslimpilgrim.osunstate.gov.ng, while Christian pilgrims can apply at christianpilgrim.osunstate.gov.ng.
“This initiative will streamline the process, making it more transparent and less time-consuming for our intending pilgrims while ensuring they receive value for their money,” Rasheed added.
