2027: Enone youths endorse Okoriko Abah for House of Representatives

A group of youths under the aegis of Enone Youths Progressive Forum (EYPF), has formally endorsed Okoriko Abah for the House of Representatives seat covering Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, urging the All Progressives Congress (APC) to adopt him as its flag bearer ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced on Tuesday by members of the forum, drawn from the three local government areas, during a meeting held in Okpoga.

Members unanimously resolved to support Abah’s aspiration ahead of the 2027 general elections, while highlighting the principle of zoning, noting that the seat is due for Okpokwu according to local political arrangements, and emphasized that Abah is the most qualified candidate from the area to carry the APC banner.

Speaking on behalf of the forum, the coordinator, Samuel ‘One-on-One’ Idoko, said the decision followed extensive consultations among youth leaders across the Enone communities.

The youths said the “Enone Dream” represents a blueprint for inclusive development, youth empowerment, improved infrastructure, and better governance across the Enone axis. 

“After thorough discussions, we are convinced that Hon. Okoriko Abah possesses the capacity, integrity, and experience to represent our constituency effectively at the National Assembly. Our support is based on performance, vision, and inclusiveness, not sentiment,” Idoko said.

Representatives from each of the LGAs also expressed strong support. 

From Ado, youth leader Eddy Ogaba said: “Abah has consistently engaged with our community, providing practical solutions and initiatives that improve the lives of ordinary people. His commitment to youth empowerment and development is why we stand firmly behind him.”

From Ogbadibo, spokesperson Patience Akor Ogbole, added: “We need a representative who understands the challenges facing our communities and can navigate government structures to deliver results. Abah’s track record makes him that candidate.

“Okoriko Abah has always been accessible to the people. His hands-on approach and silent philanthropy demonstrate that he is truly committed to the welfare of Enone. We are confident he will be a voice for all of us in Abuja.”

The youths praised Abah for his consistent engagement with the grassroots, responsiveness to community concerns, and advocacy for youth inclusion in governance.

They also urged political leaders and stakeholders in the constituency to embrace issue-based politics and support candidates with a clear development agenda.

Reacting to the endorsement, Abah expressed gratitude to the Enone youths for the confidence reposed in him, describing the support as a call to greater service.

“I am humbled by the endorsement of the Enone youths and pledge to prioritize youth empowerment, education, job creation, and infrastructural development if elected. No community in our constituency will be left behind,” Abah said.

He further called on the youths to remain peaceful, united and politically engaged as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
