2027: Jonathan will run on PDP ticket – Jerry Gana
Former Minister of Information and Orientation, Professor Jerry Gana, has revealed that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan is set to vie for Nigeria’s top seat again in 2027 under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking with journalists in Minna, Niger State, Gana stated that Nigerians, after experiencing governance under two successive presidents since Jonathan left office, are eager for his comeback.
He recalled Jonathan’s 2015 declaration that his ambition was not worth the blood of Nigerians, but noted that the political landscape has shifted.
“After Jonathan, another president served eight years, and the current one has been in office for two. Nigerians have seen the difference and are calling for Jonathan’s return,” Gana said.
“I can confirm that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will contest the 2027 presidential election as the PDP candidate, and we must be ready to vote him back into office,” he added.
