Frontline Benue State governorship aspirant for the 2027 election under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr. Peter Adejoh, has received royal blessings during a visit to Orokam in Ogbadibo Local Government Area, where he was hosted by Chief Pius Abbah, the Ward Head of Orokam.

The visit, described as part of his ongoing grassroots consultation across Benue State, provided an opportunity for the aspirant to engage community stakeholders and seek traditional support for his political ambition ahead of the 2027 polls.

Speaking during the engagement, Dr. Adejoh reiterated his commitment to repositioning Benue State, promising inclusive leadership, sustainable development, and a new direction anchored on equity and fairness. He also reaffirmed his aspiration to emerge as the first governor from the Benue South Senatorial Zone, describing it as a historic shift that would address long-standing calls for balance in the state’s political structure.

In his response, Chief Pius Abbah offered prayers and traditional blessings for the aspirant, urging him to remain focused and steadfast in his pursuit of public office.

Meanwhile, it is recalled that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been intensifying internal consultations and strategic engagements aimed at presenting Dr. Peter Adejoh as its consensus governorship candidate for Benue South (Zone C) ahead of the 2027 elections.

Party stakeholders are reportedly rallying around his candidacy to avoid divisions within the party and to strengthen its chances in a politically sensitive region where agitation for equity and rotational leadership has continued to shape discussions.

Within party circles, there are growing moves to consolidate support behind Adejoh as a unifying figure, with efforts ongoing to align interests across local government structures in the zone ahead of the primaries.
