As Nigeria marks Democracy Day, Hon. Inalegwu Ejembi Adaje, a 2027 aspirant for the House of Representatives representing Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadigbo Federal Constituency, has called on the people of Benue to reflect on the nation’s journey and unite in support of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Adaje acknowledged the persistent challenges of corruption, insecurity, and leadership gaps, but emphasized that these difficulties present an opportunity for national rebirth and progress.
As we navigate the complexities of democracy, it’s clear that our nation still grapples with pressing issues — corruption, insecurity, and leadership gaps. Yet, amidst these challenges lies an opportunity for growth and renewal,” he said.
Adaje urged citizens of his constituency and across Benue State to rally behind Governor Alia in his efforts to reposition the state for prosperity and development.
“Let’s draw inspiration from the sacrifices of our past heroes and strive to build a brighter future. I urge my fellow brothers and sisters in Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadigbo, and indeed the entire Benue State, to join hands with our Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, in his quest to restore the state’s glory.”
He added that the time had come for citizens to take collective responsibility and channel their energy toward a better, people-centered democracy.
“Together, we can forge a path that prioritizes the well-being of our people, promotes accountability, and ensures that our democracy truly serves the greater good. The power to shape our collective destiny lies within us — let’s seize it and build a better tomorrow,” Adaje stated.
