A 26 years old man simply identified as Humble Paul from Aidogodo, Okpoga has been electrocuted to death at Ede Ai-agbenu, Okpoga in Okpokwu Local Government area of Benue State.

The incident occurred Sunday evening when some yet to be identified persons contacted the self acclaimed electrician to reconnect their wires which were disconnected by NEPA staffs as a result of their inability to pay light bills for a pastry N400 only.

A resident of Ai-agbenu village who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that public power was restored while Mr Humble Paul was already carrying out his duty on the top of the electric pole with his body resting on the electric wires.

The self acclaimed electrician apparently climbed the electric pole without handgloves or any protective jackets. He was then electrocuted in the process and his body was seen dangling up on the electric wires.

As at the time of filing this report, it is not clear if his ‘remains’ has been brought down for burial by concerned authorities.
