Odutola explained that alongside Ogungbe’s body, a bottle of the alcoholic drink “Lakoko” and a bottle of the pesticide “Sniper” were found in the hotel room.
The hotel owner of Authentic Hotel, located on Soyoye road, reported the incident to the Lafenwa police station at around 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The owner explained that the hotel’s manager had raised an alarm after noticing Ogungbe, a guest who had checked in for a short rest, had not been seen for some time.
Upon checking the room, the hotel receptionist found Ogungbe’s lifeless body on the bed and immediately informed the manager, who then notified the hotel owner.
The scene was cordoned off to preserve the evidence before the formal police report was made.
