35-year-old man commits suicide in Otukpo

A young man identified as Ezekiel Odeh, has allegedly committed suicide in Otukpo area of Benue State.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that Odeh, who is about 35 years, from Igbeji Akpa, Otukpo took a substance known as Goodbye.

The substance is believed to be a poisonous herb.

A source within the community said the deceased had before now threatened to take his life but was prevented by family members and loved ones.

“He has been threatening to kill himself before now. He took the substance yesterday morning and locked himself in the room where he died.”

The source described him as a gentle and easy-going man who is connected to most politicians in Benue.
