1. Prolific Career Across Continents Olanrewaju Kayode, a forward for the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, has had a distinguished career that spans multiple continents. He began his professional journey in Nigeria before moving to the Ivory Coast with ASEC Mimosas in 2010. His career later took him to Austria, Switzerland, Israel, and Ukraine, eventually leading him to his current club in Turkey. Notably, Kayode also had a stint with Premier League champions Manchester City.

2. Early Beginnings in Ibadan Kayode’s football journey started with Marvelous FC, an Ibadan-based club. His talent soon took him to Ghana, where he joined Red Bull FC. His performance there caught the eye of Nigeria’s Under-17 coach, John Obuh, leading to his inclusion in the squad for the 2009 U-17 World Cup.

3. Member of Nigeria’s U-17 Team in 2009 Kayode was a member of the Nigeria Under-17 team in 2009. Although he played in every match, he did not complete a full game or score any goals. His teammates included future stars like Ogenyi Onazi, Kenneth Omeruo, and Ramon Azeez. The tournament also featured international stars such as Alvaro Morata, Shkodran Mustafi, Mario Gotze, Granit Xhaka, Isco, and Neymar.

4. Participated in Two U-20 World Cups Kayode represented Nigeria in the Under-20 World Cups in 2011 and 2013. He scored five goals in total, with three coming in the 2011 tournament in Colombia, where he netted in consecutive group stage matches.
