No fewer than 9 persons have been killed, 20 injured with at least 30 farm houses razed by fire with harvested crops and other valuable assets such as cars, motorcycles, water pump machines etc worth millions destroyed as a group of yet to be identified gunmen attack Tarangol community in Plateau State.
Hon. Sylvester Wallangko, the All Progressives Congress(APC) flag bearer for Plateau Assembly was affected during the attack with his properties vandalised.
He received condolences from sympathisers, including chairman of Bokkos LGA Hon Joseph Guluwa, The chairman Barkin Ladi LGA. Hon. Jok Alamba, Hon. Usaini Amurudu, member PLHA, Hon Prof. Bernard Matur, commissioner for Higher education, Hon Sunday Mallo Muchen, former member PLHA and other dignitaries visited to mourn with the community and entire Tarangol district.
Wallangko reiterated the call for a community-based security approach through government/stakeholders support in synergy with security agencies to help nip in the bud such ugly incidence from reoccurring.
In a whatsApp message by Wallangko media team, Wallangko wept as the deceased were buried.
