Dele Ali may have been shipped out of Tottenham after his massive drop in form but that hasn’t stopped Spurs from looking in the direction of other players of Nigerian descent.

Indeed, Tottenham have reached an agreement with Udinese for full-back Destiny Udogie, according to reports.

The Nigerian-Italian, 19, enjoyed a breakout season in Serie A last term, making 35 appearances.

His fine form has drawn interest from a host of top European clubs.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, it is Antonio Conte’s Tottenham who have won the race for Udogie’s signature.

Spurs have reached an agreement with Udinese worth more than £17million.

Personal terms have also been agreed with the player though Udogie will not join Tottenham straight away, however.

The left-back will spend the season on loan at Udinese to further his development as he becomes the second young full-back to join Tottenham this summer.

Spurs also signed Djed Spence, 21, from Middlesbrough.

Spence impressed while on loan at Nottingham Forest last term, helping the European Cup winners of old get promoted to the top flight for the first time in over two decades.

Spurs have also added Richarlison to Conte’s attacking ranks.

Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma have also added some much-needed quality in midfield.

Spurs have started the season strongly, topping the table after matchweek one following a 4-1 win over Southampton.
