The Vice Chairman, Lobi Stars FC, Dominic Iorfa, has recalled three of the 40 staff of the club that were dissolved.

He took the decision during a meeting he held with staff of the club on Monday in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the recalled three staff members were were Moses Uvoughor, Femi Olaaluko and James Jato.

NAN gathered that Uvoughor and Olaaluko were Assistant Coaches, while Jato was an Assistant Security Officer of the club.

The vice chairman of the club said that all staff of the club that failed to attend the meeting to present their appointment letters for sighting, were no longer members of the club.

He lamented that some former staff of the club who had been paid their salaries up-to-date were blackmailing him that he was owing them six months salaries.

Iorfa further lamented that they even staged a protest at the gate of the Government House over non-payment of salaries.

He said that the Team Manager, Gabriel Ogwuche, did not sign his acceptance letter, stressing that failing to sign the document meant that he was not a staff of the club.

He said that Ogwuche would return the money he had collected for 10 months as salary to the coffers of the club.

Meanwhile, the Principal Special Assistant to Governor Samuel Ortom on Sports, Coach Godwin Uwua, commended Iorfa for rescuing the team from relegation.

Uwua appealed to Iorfa to temper justice with mercy by forgiving all the staff that had hurt him by injuring his reputation on several fronts.

He advised him to forget about politics and remain focused because of the big task of winning the continental game ahead of the team.
