Junaidu, is accused of falsely extending employment offers to two unsuspecting young men named Abdullahi Abubakar and Isiya Iliyasu.

According to a statement issued by AbdulAzeez Abdullahi, the Head of Corporate Communication at Kaduna Electric, the situation came to light when Abubakar and Iliyasu presented the fraudulent employment letters for processing as new employees at the Zaria Regional Office of the Company.

Subsequently, in collaboration with the local police, the security division of the company successfully traced Junaidu to Funtua and facilitated his arrest by the Funtua Police Division.

Preliminary findings from the police investigation have revealed that Junaidu was working in conjunction with Aliyu Sani from Sokoto, who is currently evading capture, to deceive unsuspecting individuals and swindle them out of substantial sums of money.

The representative from Kaduna Electric expressed the company’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that the accused individuals face the full legal consequences of their actions. He further encouraged the general public to remain vigilant against fraudsters and to promptly report any suspicious activity to the company.

The spokesperson emphasized that the police are actively pursuing Aliyu Sani, the alleged mastermind behind the fraudulent scheme, and assured that both suspects will soon be prosecuted.

He concluded by highlighting the robust recruitment and security mechanisms in place at Kaduna Electric, which make it challenging for counterfeit employment activities to go unnoticed. (NAN)
