Gov Alia named Grand Patron by NPFL Media Directors

In a historic event on Friday in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, 20 Media Directors from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) honored Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, by conferring on him the title of Grand Patron.
The NPFL Directors were in Makurdi for a two-day Workshop and Seminar, where they expressed their appreciation to Governor Alia for his steadfast commitment to sports development in the state and for hosting this significant event for the first time since its inception.
In his response, Governor Alia thanked the NPFL Media Directors for selecting Benue as the host state. He also praised the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lobi Stars for his outstanding leadership, which has propelled the club to new heights.
Reaffirming his commitment to sports development, the Governor announced that the Aper Aku Stadium would be completed within an ambitious timeline of eight weeks.
The Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL, Davidson Owumi, highlighted that the purpose of the summit was to equip media officers with the knowledge needed to engage their communities effectively and improve the league using new insights gained from the resource persons. Owumi also thanked the Governor for his transformative leadership since taking office, expressing confidence that it would deliver significant benefits to the people of Benue.
