Cabinet reshuffle: Full list of ministers sacked by president Tinubu [DOCUMENT]
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has dismissed at least five ministers as part of his ongoing cabinet reforms, Daily Trust reports. The move comes amid growing pressure on the president to reshuffle his cabinet and improve governance performance.
Among those removed from their positions are Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, the former Minister of Women Affairs, and Prof. Tahir Mamman, who was in charge of the Ministry of Education.
In a statement, President Tinubu thanked the outgoing ministers for their service to the nation and wished them success in their future endeavors.
The affected ministers are:
Barr. Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, Minister of Women Affairs
Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism
Prof. Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education
Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development
Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development
This decision aligns with President Tinubu’s earlier commitment to remove non-performing ministers, which he reiterated during a meeting with the leadership of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, while marking his first year in office.
