BREAKING: Court allows ex-minister Ngige to remain on administrative bail
Justice Mariam Hassan of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Gwarinpa has directed that Chris Ngige, former Minister of Labour and Employment, remain on the administrative bail previously granted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The court stipulated that Ngige must provide a surety who holds a directorial position in a Federal Government agency and possesses landed property.
According to the ruling, the surety is required to submit documentation of their property and travel papers to the court while arrangements for Ngige’s passport retrieval are finalized.
Earlier, the EFCC had granted Ngige bail on the basis of self-recognition, with instructions to present both his travel documents and one suitable surety.
