For the Senate races, Simon Mwadkwon secured the ticket for Plateau North, while Bitrus David Barji defeated incumbent Senator Diket Plang to clinch the Plateau Central Senatorial District ticket.
In the House of Representatives primaries, Hon. Dalyop Fom emerged winner for Barkin Ladi and Riyom Federal Constituency, while former lawmaker Dachung Bagos returned to clinch the Jos South and Jos East ticket. The current representative of Mangu and Bokkos Federal Constituency, Ishaya Lalu, also retained his seat.
Other winners include Beni Lar for Langtang North and Langtang South Federal Constituency and Joe Dashe for Shendam/Qua’an Pan/Mikang Federal Constituency.
Okotete commended party members, aspirants, and delegates for their conduct during the exercise, describing the primaries as well-organised and in line with the APC constitution and guidelines.
She further urged stakeholders to remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that the party’s strength lies in cohesion and collective effort.
“As we move forward, let us remain united, focused, and committed to the growth and success of our great party,” she said, adding that the APC must now focus on securing victory at the polls.
