DHQ delegation pays condolence visit to family of late Maj.-Gen. Rabe Abubakar
A delegation from the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has paid a condolence visit to the Katsina State Government and the family of the late retired Major General Rabe Abubakar following his recent death.
The delegation, led by the Chief of Administration (Army), Major General I.M. Abdullahi, conveyed the condolences of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, and the Armed Forces of Nigeria to the bereaved family.
Speaking during the visit, Abdullahi described the late general as a committed patriot who served Nigeria with dedication and distinction throughout his military career.
He noted that Major General Abubakar made significant contributions to national security and said his service to the country would be remembered for years to come.
The delegation also assured the family of the military’s continued support and reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to working closely with the Katsina State Government to tackle security challenges across the state.
As part of the visit, the team paid a courtesy call on the Katsina State Government and was received by the Deputy Governor, Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe, who represented Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.
The Deputy Governor expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a reflection of the strong relationship between the military and the state government in promoting peace, stability and security.
