BREAKING: Passengers stranded as Agatu community, military personnel clash on Oweto bridge

There’s a crisis at the Oweto bridge between construction workers and the Agatu community over right of land.

The military personnel have closed the road and everyone travelling to and from Abuja/Otukpo is stranded.

I spoke with the chairman of Agatu local government, Hon Usman Halilu who said he has pacified the members of the community who have now retreated back but does not have power over the military personnel.

If you are about departing Otukpo or Abuja, kindly use an alternative route as there’s uncertainty here.

Uniform personel with a means of identification are being allowed to pass.
