Boko Haram strikes again, kills 51 Nigerian refugees in Tumur

Barely two weeks after Boko Haram insurgents attacked Rice Farmers in Borno state, slaughtering tens of their victims, in one of the most deadliest attack recorded in the North-East, the infamous terrorist sect has attacked Tumur Town, a community in Niger Republic, which houses refugees from Nigeria.

It was gathered that the Tumur refugee camp which houses more than 40,000 refugees from Nigeria was attacked on Sunday, with at least 51 people killed.

Most of the inhabitants of the attacked town are Nigerians from Abadam Local Government Area of Borno state who fled to neighboring Niger.

According to some surviving refugees who contacted their relatives in Maiduguri, the attack was described as a bloodbath, properties were destroyed and livestock were also affected.
