The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has lamented the inability of the nation’s national football team, also known as Super Eagles, to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Speaking at the flag-off of his rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital on Saturday, Obi promised to put money in sports so the youths can have more goals.
He said, “A country of 200 million people, we could not qualify for World Cup!”
