Abba Kyari: ‘Goodbye and greet Abacha for us’ – Nigerians react to death of Buhari’s Chief of Staff

Nigerians on social media have reacted to the death of Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Kyari died on Friday after battling coronavirus for weeks.

Some Nigerians who reacted to the demise of the Aso Rock staff urged him greet former Head of State, Sani Abachi.

Some comments below.

Sanyo Adewale: Our defacto president is dead. RIP Abba Kyari. Goodbye and greet Abacha for us.

I haven’t seen any tweet celebrating Mallam Abba Kyari’s Death on my TL. It means I don’t follow Dark Hearted idiots. Avoid engaging them so you don’t bring them to other people’s TL. That will go a long way

Power is transient and I keep saying it. The death of Abba Kyari should serve as a lesson to El’rufai and other politicians who abuse power and feel on top of the world with the power at their disposal. Kyari was the most powerful man in Nigeria, but Where is he today? RIP Kyari.

Atiku Abubakar

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. I am saddened by the death of Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. May Allah SWT comfort his family, forgive his sins and grant him AlJannah Firdaus. Ameen.

Sarki: Abba kyari was secretly and quietly sponsoring 150 orphans in future prowess since 2010 before he even knew he would one day become the chief of staff of Nigeria right until his very death today

This alone can grant him Allah’s mercy and favor

May Allah forgive his shortcomings.

Reno Omokri

My sincere and heartfelt condolence go to the family of Mallam Abba Kyari, the late Chief of Staff to General @MBuhari, who has died at 81 from #CoronaVirus. He was one of the more effective and loyal members of Buhari’s kitchen cabinet. Whatever our differences, he loved Nigeria.

ɪ ᴀᴍ ᴀᴍᴀᴢɪɴɢ: If as a Nigerian you feel no sympathy for Abba Kyari, it shows the kind of hate you have for Nigeria as a country, and you need to be stripped of your citizenship and be sent to Canada or the United States, we don’t want people like you in Nigeria.

Son of David: You’re asking what Abba Kyari did to deserve empathy at his death but you mourned Kobe Bryant, using him as DP in over 2 months. I didnt know Kobe Bryant built market at Umunede, and schools in Asaba. #COVID19 that killed Kyari @ 80 is at your doorstep at 25. Weep for yourselves!

Ada Jesus!!  Abba Kyari died in Lagos, they’re flying his body to Abuja for burial. I want to ask, the ones that died in Lagos, where they flown to their villages for burial?? NCDC law states that all corpses of COVID-19 is government property and will be buried by NCDC professionals.

Ibn Dutse: Since everybody thinks Abba Kyari is the problem of Buhari government, little time will reveal everything.

He is resting now, peacefully self.

Dreadnstyn: Abba Kyari isn’t above the best computer scientist in the world. He’s dead and nothing can be done. NextLevel will follow him.

Until you prove to me what the FG would gain by hiding the death of Abba Kyari for three weeks, He died last night let’s respect that and stop making politics out of everything.
