The Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has commiserated with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of Abba Kyari.
The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) had earlier called the passing a “big blow” to the administration.
A condolence message signed by the NSCIA Secretary-General, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, on Saturday, said “The council received with profound shock and sadness the passing of Malam Abba Kyari”.
The body described the deceased as an excellent administrator who was committed to the overall development of the nation, through dedicated and loyal service.
NSCIA prayed to God to be with the family of the late Chief of Staff.
“It is the prayer of the Ummah in Nigeria that Almighty Allah would grant the departed Chief of Staff Al-jannah Al-firdaus”, Oloyede added.
Similarly, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, have condoled with the Nigerian leader over the death of Kyari.
They beseeched Allah for courage that would enable the family bear the loss.
Also, the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) said Buhari lost a cerebral and competent aide that was always keen on defending his interest at all times.
Niyi Akinsiju, the chairman, in a statement, consoled the president, Kyari’s family, leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as the people and government of Borno.
