Abba Moro: A new dawn beckons in Benue south

By: Ochigbo John

Comrade Abba Moro the incoming senator of Benue south remain one of the incredible politician from Benue south. His antecedent as been successful in all the areas he was called to serve confers on him the capacity to represent the good people of Benue south senatorial district effectively.

Though his ascension to the throne was a tortuous journey, but his sagacity, friendship he courted with his people for long and his developmental impact were the foundation to his victory. Abba Moro has invested all his resources in people unlike other politicians from this clime who will rather invest in buildings and exotic cars. This is a reminder of a story of money used by two mothers. The money the barren mother uses to buy jewelries is the same another mother uses to pay her children school fees. So you won’t expect the mother who pays school fees to live in glamour. Politics have made Abba Moro poorer though his savings account of goodwill has billions as deposit. No doubt living sacrificially for his people is in his DNA. A typical Edumoga man who lives the Edumoga way of ‘Okplòda Le yòga’ meaning he who borrows to entertain. He ensured the youths got their rightful placement by empowering them en masse in to federal agencies and other sectors he had influence. Part of these gestures confers the fertileness to represent his people.

Abba Moro has always been at the forefront of ethical and progressive politics for the people of Benue south.
Benue south are glad the spoke loud and clear through the ballot in the just concluded senatorial elections. Benue south is proud the made no mistake in sending their ‘Tiger’ to go forth and be among the wolves of the Red Chamber. Abba Moro bears great potential of becoming the intellectual bank of the Nigerian senate.

June 11, the senate will be inaugurated and he will assume the seat to be vacated by his mentor and godfather Sen David Mark GCON the former Senate President and the Senator representing Benue south since the inception of the fourth republic.

Abba Moro’s ultimate desire is to serve the people of Benue south sacrificially. Though the race to his emergence was tough, the challenge was tasking and obstacles were many but
Abba Moro was able to steer the storm because his heart is right, his intention fervent, his courage steadfast and above all his trust fixed in God. Since the declaration of Abba Moro as Senator-elect, he has demonstrated his large heart to as many who want to identify with him irrespective of party affiliation to collectively grow Benue south.

Abba Moro the accomplished teacher, unionist, uncommon local government Chairman, the only state ALGON Chairman from Benue south in history, Pro-Chancellor/Chairman Governing Council of two universities, a well celebrated Minister of Interior and the Senator elect Benue south, cut the image of a leader whose vision drives his ambition. Benue south is in for a good season as Abba Moro will prove his worth like he has done in all the areas he was called to serve in the past. As the people’s senator, the people of his senatorial district can identify and call upon whenever the need arise.
As the new dawn beckons in Benue south, the good people of Benue south are already relishing the gains of their vote for the most accessible, friendly and people oriented senator.

Born 3 july, 1956, Abba Moro studied Political Science at the prestigious University of Lagos. He also holds a master degree in Public Administration from the same university. Prior to his election as Senator he was a former Minister of Interior. He was an educational administrator of great repute, he was the pioneer Chairman Governing Board College of Education, Oju, an uncommon chairman ever in the history of Okpokwu LGA who did uncommon projects in the council. First and last to be elected ALGON state chairman from Benue south, Pro-Chancellor/Chairman Governing Council of two federal universities.
