Abba Moro announces foreign scholarship for 50 Idoma students

Senator Abba Patrick Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial District and serving as the Minority Leader of the Senate, has unveiled a foreign scholarship program aimed at supporting 50 indigent students across the nine local government areas of Benue South.

The scholarship initiative, set to commence in the September/October 2025 academic session, is designed to ease the financial burden on low-income families and provide access to high-quality education abroad.

Senator Moro emphasized that the program underscores his commitment to educational empowerment and human capital development within the district.

Courses Offered Under the Scholarship Include:

  1. Nursing

  2. Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering

  3. Computer Science and Technology

  4. Mechanical Engineering

  5. Control Science and Engineering

  6. Biology / Biomedical Engineering

  7. Cyberspace Science and Technology

  8. Information Communication Engineering

  9. Materials Science and Engineering

  10. Safety Science and Engineering

  11. Mechanical Engineering and Technology

  12. Power Engineering and Engineering Thermo Physics

  13. International Economics and Trade

Interested candidates must have at least five credits in their O’Level results, including English and Mathematics. Applicants are required to send their results and bio-data—clearly indicating their Local Government Area and Ward of origin—to 08032982254 and oneworldallianz@gmail.com on or before the 14th of April, 2025.

The selection process will be merit-based, and qualified candidates will be chosen from each of the nine local government areas to pursue studies in the designated fields abroad.

Senator Moro expressed his hope that the initiative will serve as a launchpad for the beneficiaries to achieve academic and professional excellence.
