Abducted Delta Prophet, Jay Jay Enejeta regains freedom

The General Overseer of Faith Fasting and Prayer Ministry, Prophet Jay Jay Enejeta, has been released by his abductors.

Enejeta was kidnapped in the university town of Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State late Thursday while returning from the church in company of his wife.

His wife, Pastor Ruth, was shot dead during the attack.

Security sources said he was released on Saturday at about 7p.m at Samagidi community.

It was gathered that N10 million ransom was paid to the kidnappers.

It was further gathered that that there was an exchange of gunfire between the kidnappers and hunters.

The victim is receiving medical care at an undisclosed hospital, having sustained a bullet wound on his hand.

Police spokesman Bright Edafe, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), confirmed the cleric’s release on Sunday.
